Transcript turnaround

Four tiers, each priced at booking. The delivery date is something you agree to in advance, not something you find out about.

Delivery

What arrives, and in what shape

The transcript is the product. Everything here ships with it rather than being quoted as an extra after the fact.

Standard formats

Certified PDF, ASCII, E-Transcript (PTX), word index, and a condensed transcript. Other formats are available when a review platform requires one.

Exhibits scanned and linked

Marked in sequence, scanned, and linked from the transcript, so a cited exhibit number resolves to the document instead of to a search of the file room.

Consistent across volumes

Speaker identification, exhibit numbering, and case vocabulary stay consistent from session to session, which is what makes a multi-volume record usable a year later.

Turnaround

Scheduling and delivery questions

When do I have to choose a turnaround tier?
At booking, and it is quoted then. An expedite decided after the deposition is still possible, but it is a change to an agreed price rather than a number that appears on an invoice without warning.
Is a rough draft citable?
No. A rough draft is uncertified and uncorrected, produced from the realtime output before proofreading. It is built for same-day work — summaries, the next notice, a motion outline — and anything quoted from it should be checked against the certified transcript.
What formats does the transcript come in?
Certified PDF, ASCII, E-Transcript (PTX), a word index, and a condensed transcript, with exhibits scanned and linked. If your document platform needs a specific format, ask at booking rather than after delivery.
How does copy pricing work?
Copy rates are quoted alongside the appearance and the original transcript, so the noticing party and any ordering party both know what a copy costs before the deposition rather than when the invoice arrives.
Can turnaround be expedited on a transcript that is already in progress?
Usually. Tell us as soon as the deadline is real. Expediting early is a scheduling decision; expediting the night before a filing is a different and more expensive problem.

Working against a deadline?

Send the date and the deadline together. The turnaround tier is quoted with the appearance, not after it.
