Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Clear Record Reporting ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This page describes what information we collect through this website, how we handle materials sent to us in connection with a proceeding, and what choices you have.
Information you send us
- Inquiry and quote details — when you use a form on this site or email us, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you include: case caption, venue, deposition date, matter type, and similar scheduling information.
- Case materials — pleadings, asserted patents, expert reports, witness lists, and protective orders sent to prepare for a proceeding. These are used to prepare for that matter and are not used for any other purpose.
- Standard analytics — Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, plus server-side request logs, to understand how visitors use the site. The cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies.
- Performance and security telemetry — New Relic and Cloudflare collect anonymized request and response metrics for uptime, speed, and abuse protection.
Proceedings, transcripts, and protective orders
Testimony and exhibits are handled according to the rules governing the proceeding and to any protective order in place. Where an order designates material at a restricted tier, that designation controls how the material is stored, bound, and delivered, and it takes precedence over anything described on this page. Transcripts are released to the parties entitled to receive them, not to the public and not to anyone else who asks.
How we use information
To quote and schedule work, to prepare for and report proceedings, to deliver transcripts and respond to inquiries, and to keep the site working and free of abuse. We do not sell your information, do not use it for retargeted advertising, and do not share it with third parties except the analytics and infrastructure vendors named above and any vendor engaged for your matter at your direction, such as a videographer or interpreter.
Retention
Scheduling and billing records are kept as long as needed for the engagement and for ordinary business and tax purposes. Transcripts and their associated notes are retained in line with professional obligations in the state where the proceeding was taken, so that a later request for a copy can be honored. Preparation materials are not retained beyond what the matter requires.
Your choices
Decline non-essential cookies via the banner; clearing cookies resets that choice. We honor Global Privacy Control signals at the analytics layer. To ask what site-inquiry data we hold or to request its deletion, email [email protected]. Depending on where you live, including if you are a California resident, you may have additional rights over personal information; contact us and we will tell you what applies. Requests concerning a transcript or case material are handled subject to the rules of the proceeding and any protective order, which we cannot override by request.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information through it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above changes with it.
